CINEMA SCREENING

Well done for completing your film openings!
We shall be watching your work at SCREEN ON THE GREEN, just by the business design centre on Upper street.  TUESDAY 20TH MARCH, be there at 12.30.  We should be finished by 3pm.
If you have a lesson on Tuesday afternoons please ask for permission from your teachers as a courtesy.

Expectations

Your Brief is to make the opening to a new film, including the title sequence. The opening should be 2 minutes in length.
We have certain expectations for you while you complete this project:

  •         we expect 100% commitment to the project
  •         we expect you to care for all of the equipment we entrust to you
  •         we expect you to be able to work all of the equipment, from cameras to editing programmes like Final Cut Pro
  •        we expect you to produce a film opening that LOOKS LIKE A FILM OPENING and not something else
  •        we expect you to achieve your potential
  •   we expect you to reflect on the skills you are learning as this will help you in the A2 year
In return we will allow you access to some of the best equipment available to students of media studies.  We will help you understand the requirements of the project and we will share our expertise in film making, and knowledge of the editing programmes.

Blogging Requirements

Posted below is the blogging checklist.
In sort, we would expect:

  •  a minimum of 50 blog posts for the research, planning and production stages of your work
  •  each post should include an element of multi media
  • overall the blog should include at least 7 different ways of presenting your work
Ways of presenting your work could include:

  • photos
  • gifs
  • presentation packages like photobucket or beeclip
  • video uploaded from youtube
  • 'vblogs' you record on your phone etc
  • powerpoints
  • wordles
  • prezis
  • screengrabs
  • screen recording using quicktime
  • 'go animate' or 'xtranormal' online animation packages
  • edited documentary style 'shorts'
